TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Policies, Procedures and Warranties
We expect payment in advance of shipping our clarinet barrels and bells.
For our custom designed barrels and bells we will do everything possible to meet your expectations.
With our barrels we will send you one or more to try and you may return the ones you are not interested in. Of course it is best if you can come to our shop and try out barrels here as you will have more selection and you may find that the length of the barrel you buy may be different than what you are currently using. The balance of your deposit will be returned to you less the shipping charges to you. Future barrel trials with returns will incur a restocking fee of $20 per shipment in addition to all shipping charges to you.
If you have come in to see us or sent us a clarinet to make a custom bell for you, which is how we think you should do it, you may send the bell back along with your clarinet for us to re-assess and re-voice at no cost to you except the return shipping to you. There are no refunds for custom made bells. We reserve the right to return your clarinet with no bell and a refund if we feel our bell has not improved your instrument.
With our pre-made bells we will send you one or more to try and you may return the one you are not interested in. The balance of your deposit will be returned to you less the shipping charges to you. Future bell trials with returns will incur a restocking fee of $20 per shipment in addition to all shipping charges to you.
Our barrels and bells are unconditionally guaranteed for materials and workmanship to the original owner for a period of 1 year. Remember, you MUST break in your barrel like you would a new clarinet. Start by playing it five minutes a day, GRADUALLY adding playing time to the barrel. Think of a similar break in period for your bell though it is more stable than the barrel.
Finding the Sweet Spot
In testing your barrel or bell, you will turn it by 1/16 turn each time you play , listening for the position that gives you the best results, or "sweet spot". If you want to mark the barrel, bell or your clarinet, use only masking tape. Other types of tape will mark the wood and void your warranty.
You are always responsible for all shipping costs to and from Vaccaro and Stevens Woodwinds.
After you have contacted us, we will give you the cost of your item, including any shipping/handling, duties, and any applicable California State taxes and generate an invoice for you.
